In Italy the Contract Logistics Line of Business of GEODIS increases its customer base by signing a major contract that binds the company to one of the leading enterprise in the E-commerce sector, confirming its leadership in logistics solutions for the online business trading and already reaching the impressive target of around 1,5 MLN of shipping in a single start up quarter.
GEODIS enlarged and developed its logistics activities dedicated to E-commerce, by increasingly working close to multinational companies specialized in online sales. It is recent and relevant the partnership that GEODIS in Italy finalized with a leader company in the e-commerce sector and which sells internationally online. Launched in June 2015, GEODIS has provided more than 26,900 sqm of warehouse in the logistics site of Carpiano (MI). Following an effective start-up, the exclusively dedicated logistics area to this customer has been raised in a few months reaching more than 44,000 sqm, with inbound and outbound daily peaks that reach over 40,000 pieces and a consequent similar number of shipments, reaching the impressive target of around 1,5 MLN of shipping in a single start up quarter.
